Mum sold drugs to pay off a debt
DRUG-DEALER Gemma Brown supplied four different substances from a squat to repay a debt, a court was told.
The 29-year-old mum said she felt under pressure to deal heroin, crack cocaine, cannabis and monkey dust to clear the debt accrued by someone else.
Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard how police raided the Hanley squat and found a stash of drugs worth £1,280.

Police issue warning after break-ins
CASH and jewellery were stolen during a burglary at a property in Anson Road, Meir.
Two vehicles were also broken into on the same night in nearby Applewood Crescent and Uttoxeter Road.
Police say there are investigating the crimes, which all took place on Thursday night, and urged residents to be on their guard and make sure their property is secure.

Man, 32, admits affray charges
DEFENDANT Ben Butler has pleaded guilty to false imprisonment.
The 32-year-old admitted committing the offence on August 4.
He appeared at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court yesterday via video-link.
Butler also pleaded guilty to two charges of affray, which also relate to August 4.
He denied two counts of robbery, and his pleas were accepted by the Crown Prosecution Service.
The case was adjourned to allow the Probation Service to prepare a report on the defendant.

Drunk threatened to kill ex-partner and her dad
DRUNK Daniel Allen assaulted his partner and then later sent her threatening text messages after they split up.
The 32-year-old also left offensive voicemails for his ex Cherie Poole's father, threatening to kill him.
Now Allen has been banned from contacting Geoffrey Poole or going within 50 metres of his home.

Police issue appeal to find owners of 'fake' drugs
STAFFORDSHIRE Police are asking the public to help them find the owners of a piece of equipment found in Stoke-on-Trent.
The item is described as a metal box containing a specialised drug educational kit with false samples of each drug.
It was found in Lightwood Road, Longton, on Wednesday, November 25.
The equipment, believed to be worth hundreds of pounds, has not been reported lost or stolen, but must belong to somebody.
