Deer rangers given new kit by police to tackle poachers
POLICE are using new state-of-the-art equipment in the fight against deer poachers.Staffordshire Police's Rural and Wildlife Crime Unit have teamed up with specialists to produce the new evidence recovery kits. Burglar tried to destroy camera in bid to avoid detection
JOBLESS Joshua Smith damaged a security camera after trying to break into a home while the householder was in bed.
The 21-year-old – who has three previous convictions for burglaries – kicked his way through the back gate at a property in Port Street, Middleport, before attempting to gain entry.
He then damaged a CCTV camera in an attempt to evade detection.

Serial criminal raided home as family 'slept upstairs'
DRUG addict Andrew Rimes burgled a house while a couple and their three children were asleep in bed.
The 36-year-old, who has been using drugs since the age of 10, broke into a property in Moston Street, Birches Head, in the middle of the night.
