A 24-YEAR-OLD from the Potteries has appeared in court accused of child rape.Ashley Sherrington, of Dawlish Drive, Bentilee, is among nine men from across the Midlands accused of child sex offences.Child protection officers charged the men along with a tenth suspect from London, in connection with alleged offences said to have occurred between 2009 and 2010. Sherrington appeared at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Tuesday and is due to appear at Birmingham Crown Court on August 24.
